Why is online shopping customer experience winning?

Are you sure you want to go out shopping?

The online shopping bug has caught on, and how! Online shopping retail sales are predicted to grow steadily to $370 billion in 2017, up from $231 billion in 2012. (Read here). And everything, literally EVERYTHING that a person would need is available over the internet today. Furniture, kitchen ware, food, perfumes, apparels, shoes, bags, specs, lenses – you name it, and you can shop for it online! What is it that drives most of us to shop online despite the fact that there are quite a few drawbacks?

Convenience

With everything available at the click of a mouse, who would want to stand in those long queues for billing, and worry about the car-parking at a mall? Weekends – they are meant for relaxing, and shopping online!! Also, e-commerce sites are going out of the way to please their customers – with easy return policies, and quick delivery timelines, nothing beats the convenience of shopping from home.

Lots of choice

What more does a shopper want than to find all brands, all sizes and all colours under one roof? So if I am looking for a bag, I can now have every design, colour, brand available to me and I am free to make the choice I want to. There is little worry about liking a particular bag, and then wondering if the store would have a different colour or size.

Also, if a particular item is unavailable on one website, you have a 100 others that you can browse through. Is that not a lot more amazing than going to actual stores and looking for items?

Great discounts

In the war between e-commerce sites to become the best and increase sales, it is the customer who benefits the most! The discounts available online are tremendous! And nothing pleases a customer more than a good deal!
